We were asked to set up a twitter account for our Tech Tools class, and it was easy to oblige because I already had one! (I should probably add that I barely ever used it). So now, I'm tweeting and listening to tweets. It was a good exercise because I didn't realize what kind of information some of the organizations I'm involved with actually put out in their tweets. I've managed to find some really interesting links as a result.
I also downloaded the twitter app to my phone, so I'm keeping really up-to-date with it all. Just wish it didn't beep so loudly when a new message comes through! (Guess I could turn that off).
So, if you're interested in opening a twitter account, try www.twitter.com. My next step is to see how this could be used in classes. All ideas welcome!
